Lavenham

Lavenham is well worth a visit. It is a beautiful town in the east of England full of tudor half timbered buildings. The 16th century Guildhall in the main market square is a masterpiece, but there are many other fine buildings to see. For centuries time passed Lavenham by, leaving it in a sleepy backwater and spared the ‘improvements’ of developers, not unlike Rothenburg in Germany which you will also find on this site.
